Little Bear Westsail 32 refit: Paint Prep Blog #94

Arrrrr me hearties. Welcome aboard.

A paint job on a car or boat is going to look awful if the prep for paint is not done with dilligence. I have filled all the scratches and divots with glazing putty and then sanded the putty. This is a critical part of the job. It pays in dividends to do a good job and be really really fussy with preparation.

The weather was a bit dicey while I was doing this so it took longer than I had hoped, but I was able to catch up on other odd jobs that needed to be done around the boat. But at the end of it, we had the above-the-waterline part of the hull sanded, smoothed, primed, and ready for paint.

As always fair winds, following seas, and God bless.
